THE LEADER PROGRAMME
The Karhuseutu Association is executing its third programme period. In the past it executed the national Pomo-programme from 1997-2001, as well as the Leader+ programme from 2001-2006.
Regional development Programme from 2001 to 2006
During the programme 177 projects were financed.
The budget was 6, 6 M €, of which
-3,8M€ was public financed (50 % EU, 30% state, 20% municipality),
-2,8M€ privat financed.
The average budget for a project was 37000€, the percentage of support of the budgets was 59%.
The main themes of the Mehu programme were:
1. Activating villages 77 projects
2. Developing tourism 44 projects
3. Diversifying production 38 projects
4. Inter-regional and international projects 18 projects.
Regional development Programme from 2007 to 2013.
The man focal points are:
1. To make local activities serviceable
2. To make tourism more lively
3. To make culture flourish and organize profitable events
4. To obtain vitality from the environment
5. To obtain development through education
The realization of the programme emphasizes on the creation of new means of livelihood, networking, children and youth and internationalization.
The programmes budget is 6,8M€ of which
-4,4M€ is public financed (45% EU, 35% state, 20% municipality),
-2,4M€ privat financed.
